The proclaimers support a new Mary’s Meals to double love.

Scottish rock duo Craig and Charlie Reid have been supporting Dalmally-founded charity for several years and have taken the time to write their next album for the organization to release its latest fundraising event.

The new Double The Love crusade is officially presented today, Monday, November 2, and you’ll see the UK government adjust public donations to the deal until January 31 next year, up to 2 million pounds.

This means that the budget raised through Double The Love will allow Mary’s Meals to succeed in more than 43,000 hungry young people in Bong County, Liberia, with a life-changing meal at school.

In Liberia, more than a portion of all young people drop out of school before finishing school number one and 64% of women do not attend school. The charity believes that nutritious foods budgeted and ready across local communities attract young people to the classroom and give them the power to learn.

Half of Craig’s proclaimers said: “We believe Mary’s Meals’ paintings are fantastic. We have been following its incredible effect for years and are now extremely happy to be able to help in their crusade to feed more hungry young people in Liberia. “

And his double brother, Charlie, added: “In the coming months, people’s donations will double through the British government, meaning that supporters can double the effect of the books they give.

“This has been a difficult year for everyone in other respects, but like music brings music together, Double The Love gives us all a brilliant opportunity for Mary’s Meals and show Liberian youth that we care about ourselves. “

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the youth continued to eat Mary’s food outdoors in the classroom through the distribution of networked food to prepare and eat at home.

As Liberia’s schools reopen, the charity works intensively with governments and local communities to ensure that young people get the promise of a nutritious daily meal.

Daniel Adams, ceo of Mary’s Meals, said many families in Liberia face a constant struggle to feed their children and that the Covid-19 pandemic has only added to these enormous challenges.

With the charity’s economic focus, a $15. 90 donation will feed a child with Mary’s Meals for an entire school year and with funding from the UK government’s Double The Love, the same amount will feed two young people over the next few months.

“In such a difficult year, this generous investment by the British government gives us an incredible opportunity to combine paintings to reshape the lives of many other hungry young people in Liberia. With the double gift of food and education, today’s hungry youth will be able to become knowledgeable adults from whom they can take their communities out of poverty,” Adams added.

Mary’s Meals offers nutritious food to more than 1. 6 million hungry young people in 19 of the poorest countries. The charity has been operating in Liberia since 1994 and already serves food to more than 150,000 young people across the country.
