CAMBRIDGE, Ontario, August 26, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Following the recent announcement through PRIMED Medical Products (PRIMED) about the creation of a new primary medical production facility in Canada, the company revealed Cambridge, Ontario, as the selected location. This domestically produced facility will have sufficient capacity to produce all general intensive care surgical masks in Canada and, in particular, increase production in the event of a pandemic or emergency. PRIMED considers this a vital contribution to canada’s chain of origin consolidation for non-public medical protection appliances (PPEs).

PRIMED operations in Cambridge will begin in the autumn of 2020 and between 40 and 50 additional jobs will be created in the initial launch phase of this primary expansion. This facility will produce ASTM-certified surgical masks and N95 respirators as a component of a phased procedure to help Canada’s fitness systems.
