Turkish Foreign Minister, bilateral talks on Tuesday
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina must inaugurate Bangladesh’s new chancellery in Ankara on Monday.
Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen will register to replace his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, at the opening ceremony.
Dr Momen left for Turkey on Sunday morning, a senior told UNB.
The foreign minister will hold bilateral talks with his Turkish counterpart on 15 September, he said.
The meeting is expected to discuss the Rohingya crisis, the D-8 summit, industry and investment problems.
The foreign minister is expected to return home on September 16, the official said.
Construction of the Bangladeshi Chancellery complex in Ankara at a cost of 45. 76 crore Tk was completed on 3 September.
The main features of the complex come with the Chancery building, the embassy residence, a 229-seat high-tech auditorium called ”Victory 1971”, automated mechanical and electrical systems, a mosque, a gymnasium, a Bangladeshi item display center. and a library of reference books on Bangladesh, basically on Bangabandhu, the war of independence and Bangladesh’s socio-economic progress.
Reflecting the history of Bangladesh’s independence, a bust of Bangabandhu’s country’s father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Shaheed Minar also settled in the complex, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
In addition, a 36 m2 artwork entitled “Invincible Bangladesh” as well as terracotta works on rural life in Bangladesh were also placed in the complex.

The reflected image of the aura of Bangladeshi architecture was ensured by the use of red bricks on the facade of buildings and the use of a flat roof.
Protocol between Bangladesh and Turkey on the exchange of land for diplomatic missions signed in Dhaka by the Minister for Foreign Affairs on 14 November 2010.
The protocol paved the way for the acquisition of land exchanged between the two countries for the structure of diplomatic missions in their respective capitals.

Implementation of the allocation gained a new momentum after Allama Siddiki, Bangladesh’s ambassador to Turkey and current allocation director, took over the allocation by the end of 2015, the Bangladeshi Embassy in Turkey said.
The opening took place on September 18, 2018.
