SINGAPORE: After years, the revolving Prima Tower Restaurant will stop working.
The premium revolving dining room Tower closed on April 6, a day before the “circuit breaker” measures came into force.
Plans had been made for the place to eat to reopen on August 1, but the review of the food and beverage pandemic made it one of many places to eat that were forced to close for good.
On Saturday at 2 p.m., the Prima Tower is no longer accessible.
Mr. Jiang Yongyao, president of the revolving dining room Prima Tower, told 8world News that, in the end, the place to eat is a complicated decision.
“It’s a shame that a 43-year-old company has come to this,” he said.
According to Mr Jiang, some 30 workers are affected by the closure. The company consulted with the Singapore Hotels Association and the Allied Food, Beverage Workers Union (FDAWU) on severance pay for workers.
The Prima Group, owner of the restaurant, will also seek the support of Workforce Singapore and the National Congress of Trade Unions to seek employment opportunities or vocational education for those affected.
Restaurant employees told 8world News that it is possible that some staff members may be transferred to other departments, but that they were not sure of other developments. A foreign employee stated that he was happy with the severance pay and planned to return to China.
The revolving restaurant Prima Tower opened in 1977. Considered the “only spinning place to eat in the world located in a grain silo” on the Prima website, it offers original Beijing dishes, such as panoramic perspectives of Sentosa Island, Mount Faber and Singapore. Cable.
