What do Pakistan, Micronesia and the United States have in common?Answer: outdated and regressive policies.
Each belongs to the small handful of nations that continue to their borders with unvaccinated foreign nationals.
Initiated in October 2021 and recently renewed, the Biden administration’s policy of discrimination against unvaccinated immigrants and visa holders was extended until at least January 8. This policy prevented Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic from competing at the US Open earlier this year. . , and it is the same repressive policy that will force me to spend a Christmas moment without seeing my family.
DECLINING IS A CHOICE
As a foreign national in the United States, I am allowed to stay here for the duration of my visa. But given my resolve not to get vaccinated against COVID, I can’t leave the country for fear of being denied back to school. So, for me and others in my position, the choice is between dropping out of my midterm degree systems or getting stuck in the country for the rest of the program.
For someone who recently claimed that “the pandemic is over” in the United States, President Joe Biden’s policies have all the foresight of a Homeric cyclops. One wonders what one sees how the leaders of Canada, New Zealand and Israel, all of whom have opened their borders to the unvaccinated in recent months, are supposedly missing. At the time of writing, no country in Europe is requiring COVID vaccination to enter.
Today, there is no valid clinical explanation for why the White House continues its blanket ban on unvaccinated arrivals. the last 3 months and thus retain herbal immunity.
My fate and that of thousands of people in my position is one that fears not only the 50 million unvaccinated Americans, but all citizens of this country who care about authentic freedom and the right of an individual to refuse a vaccine, whether for health reasons. Devotees. or freedom, without discriminating country.
My reasons for taking the COVID vaccine are mine. In the verbiage on the left, it’s “between me and my doctor. “However, regardless of what one thinks, knowledge shows that my threat of dying from the disease is about four in 100,000. Science suggests that I am no more likely to transmit the virus than any of my vaccinated friends.
For most Americans, COVID ceased to be a major public policy factor more than a year ago. Today, a clear majority opposes the legal responsibility to vaccinate others seeking to go through their lives.
As Biden rightly pointed out, the pandemic is over. Continuing to ban the entry of unvaccinated foreigners is ruthless and unnecessary. It is time for the land of opportunity to catch up with the rest of the world and end its discriminatory policies. strangers in my position pass by this Christmas.
