Post-Covid AIIMS Care: Interior Minister Amit Shah stable

The state of the Union’s internal minister, Amit Shah, is stable, according to others familiar with the matter at the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where he admitted this week to receive post-Covid-19 care after complaining of fatigue and pain

Shah, 55, admitted to AIIMS on Monday night, 3 days after being discharged from Medanta Hospital in Gurugram after being negative for coronavirus, entered Medanta on 2 August after the EU prime minister tested positive for viral disease.

“Sh Amit Shah, Honorable Minister of the Interior, has been complaining of fatigue and pain and discomfort for 3 or 4 days. He tested negative for Covid-19. He was admitted to AIIMS for post-Covid care. He’s comfortable and proceeding” his paintings from the hospital,” AIIMS said Tuesday.

Shah entered the VIP branch of the Hospital’s Cardiothoracic and Neuroscience Center (CNC).

“Today, my Covid-19 verification report has become negative. I also thank Dieu, I also explain my deep gratitude to all those who have supported me and my circle of relatives to wish me good health. I’ll be isolated at home for a few days on the recommendation of the doctors,” Shah tweeted as he left Medanta.

He also announced his physical condition on Twitter after testing positive for the virus, and suggested those who have contacted him in recent days to isolate the the test.

“After the first symptoms appeared, I did the coronavirus test and the report was positive. My physical condition is fine, but I am admitted to the hospital on the recommendation of the doctors,” Shah had posted on the microblogging site.
