The Skyscanner online travel page reported a 2,000% increase in bookings when Portugal was added to the UK’s ‘safe list’ travel hall on 22 August. High rates of infection in Spain remain a fear issue for the Spanish government. Until those numbers drop significantly, the UK has said it will not suspend quarantine for arrivals from the country.
