(RTTNews) – Poland’s production sector grew at a slower rate in August, knowledge of the IHS Markit survey showed Tuesday.
The manufacturing purchasing managers’ index, or PMI, fell to 50. 6 in August from 52. 8 in July.
Economists had predicted a score of 52. 9. Any reading above 50 indicates one in the sector.
The volume of new orders remained unchanged in August and brands further increased production, while production increased since October 2018.
The backing at work decreased at a steeper rate in August, but at a slower pace. Purchase inventories decreased by fourteenth consecutive month and inventories of finished products declined for the current month in a row.
Employment in August, which extends to fourteen months.
Input value inflation accelerated to its point in six months in August and yielding tensions increased and manufacturers’ values were reduced for the fifth consecutive month.
“Manufacturers remained confident in expanding production for the next 12 months, but the sentiment was weaker than in July, basically reflecting considerations about a imaginable wave of COVID-19 and any tightening of restrictions,” Trevor Balchin, chief economics director at IHS Markit, said.
