Oct 12 (UPI) – A Polish pipeline operator said Wednesday it discovered a leak in one of the strands of Russia’s Druzhba crude artery delivering the product to Germany.
“This line is used to transport crude oil to Germany,” the pipeline operator said. “At this time, the reasons for the incident are unknown. “
Druzhba, which “friendship” in Russian, entered service in the mid-1960s.
“There have been some seizures,” he added.
The Western government has warned that Russia is Nord Stream’s problem, although the Kremlin has responded that it will not attack its own infrastructure.
