Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said Egypt has promising opportunities in the fields of hydrogen and renewable energy.
The prime minister made his comments on Monday at an assembly with his Belgian counterpart Alexander De Croo and representatives of a Belgian consortium specializing in the fields of energy and green hydrogen on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), held recently in Egypt. . .
Madbouly said Egypt hopes to employ the expertise of the respective Belgian companies and noted that the government is in a position to provide all the bureaucracy to develop investments in green hydrogen in Egypt.
The representatives said they were interested in cooperating with Egypt’s electricity, renewable energy and hydrogen sectors.
They noted that they have the possibility of identifying a green hydrogen production center and garage along the Mediterranean coast, noting that the allocation is expected to generate more than 2,500 employment opportunities in addition to offering several indirect jobs.
