Philippines confirms 62 new cases of coronavirus and deaths

MANILA (Reuters) – The Philippine Ministry of Health reported On Friday of 6,216 new coronavirus infections, the third largest increase recorded in Southeast Asia to date, and 16 more deaths.

In a bulletin, the ministry said the total number of cases shown had increased to 153,660, while the deaths shown had reached 2,442.

The Philippines reported its largest accumulation of infections shown at 6,958 on Monday.
