Philippines confirms 5277 new cases of coronavirus and deaths

MANILA – The Philippine Ministry of Health reported 5,277 new coronavirus infections on Wednesday, the largest accumulation in 12 days and 99 more deaths.

In a bulletin, the ministry said the total number of cases shown had increased to 202,361, of which more than 60% had been reported in the following month, while the number of deaths had increased to 3,137. The Philippines has the number of COVID-19 cases in Southeast Asia. (Report through Neil Jerome Morales edited through Ed Davies)
