MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday recorded 1309 additional cases of COVID-19, recorded in 4 months, bringing the country’s number of active cases to 7871.
According to the DOH’s COVID-19 tracker, new infections have brought the country’s number of cases to 3,704,407 nationwide, with 3,635,981 recoveries and 60,555 deaths.
Metro Manila also continues to lead with the number of infections, across the region over the past two weeks with 4529 cases, followed by Calabarzon with 1689 cases and Western Visayas with 784.
Data from the DOH tracker also showed that a total of 22,154 more people were tested for COVID-19 on Wednesday, June 2.
