People get to the Covid-19 cell control in Huntingdon to find out it’s not there

A lot of other people came to the site this morning so the recreational community staff told them they “didn’t know” why the control center wasn’t there.

The unit must be on site today (Friday), as reported on the Cambridgeshire County Council website.

Somersham’s Mandy Watkins arrived at One Leisure with his daughter Orla at 10 a. m. to take a check for her, only to find out there was no Covid-19 check in sight.

Instead, he greeted one of One Leisure’s staff members, who told him they didn’t know why the unit wasn’t there.

Mandy said: “My daughter was sent home at a maximum school temperature and is not allowed to return to school until she passes the Covid-19 test.

“I spent all day looking for a check and I might get one in Bedford, so I saw that today there was a Covid-19 check center at One Leisure Huntingdon and I took my daughter there.

“When we arrived, there were many other people who appeared because the cell verification center was not there.

“We don’t know if he moved somewhere else or not. “

The Hunts Post has contacted NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s GCC for comment.
