Passports for COVID vaccines will soon be printable in Japanese stores

CLOUDY

Starting next week, other people living in Japan who have won at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine will be able to print their vaccination passports in retail stores and supermarkets with their My Number cards.

The formula established by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Welfare will be implemented on Tuesday in 1,187 points of sale and supermarkets, the maximum of them in Hokkaido, which had registered to offer the service until July 14. The service will be expanded nationwide starting next month.
