Tourists looking to return to the UK have been told they probably won’t be able to catch a flight until Oct. 8 after their plane hit a flock of birds and caught fire as it tried to take off. The passengers were accommodated in a hotel in Romania.
Steve Fludder, 39, and his wife Emma Bradley, 39, were among those who returned to the UK from Bulgaria on the WizzAir flight from Varna in Bulgaria on Tuesday.
Steve, who booked with Love Holidays, says the plane and 150 passengers took off slightly when the crisis hit, LancsLive reports. Steve, Emma and 4 other passengers shared the small off-duty room for the night and may want to do so until they can catch the flight home with WizzAir.
