Party At Air BnB Rental launches Amok in Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT – A noise in a Southington home rented through the Air BnB network left the assets badly damaged, police said.

Police unveiled the main points of the June 13 incident on Thursday.

At 5:18 p. m. that day, police responded to vandalism at 375 Defashion St.

According to one report, the owner of the residence, Adam Levine and the “property manager”, Tom Saat, told police that Levine “caught” in Ecuador because of the coronavirus.

During his tenure in Ecuador, Levine turned the space into a rental asset of the Air BnB service, with Saat managing all transactions, according to one report.

Levine and Saat told police that the apartment was rented on June 12 to spend the night through an Air BnB visitor known as “Kay” on the website. “Kay” had first informed Saat that there would be a total of 10 nights at home at night, and that the rent had to “come in combination to ease the tension caused through Covid,” according to one report.

Saat said he gave the impression that “hundreds of people” were in the house, according to what he observed through the video, according to a report.

Records show that Southington police responded to the apartment twice on the night of June 13 for “complaints about loud noises. “The agents took no action because the noise contained the inside of the space and “no criminal activity was observed,” according to one report.

Saat and Levine claimed that it had been left in very poor condition and that there had been a lot of damage.

Police added that no action will be taken.
