Parkite and two-time Olympian Rosie Brennan won the bronze medal this weekend at the second FIS World Cup of the season in Gällivare, Sweden, in the 4 × 7. 5km team relay event. Teaming with Jessie Diggins, Sophia Laukli and Julia Kern, the trio braved adverse situations and bloodshed to win the first race of its kind this season.
The medal is now Brennan’s third on this competition season, with 13 more events to go before the season concludes in mid-March. Brennan credited the hard yards she’s put in over the years in training towards her hot start, also discussing what it will take to keep the train rolling.
“(It takes) years and years of a lot of education. It takes a long time to expand fitness and skills to compete with the best,” Brennan said in a statement. “I’m still educating and learning from my education and careers. To locate all the little tactics I can followArrayI love challenging myself and I look to locate more within myself so that it remains entertaining for me.
Brennan will then test his skill in the Sprint C and 10km F Interval races at the third World Cup in Östersund, Sweden, next weekend. He explained how he must dominate the other occasions that each Cup event can bring.
“A World Cup season has between 25 and 30 races, so it’s vital to take both at the time they present themselves,” Brennan said in another prepared statement. “I do my most productivity both once and both times I line up and when the race is over, win or lose, I move on to the next one. It’s wonderful to take a moment to celebrate the smart days and be unhappy on the bad days, but there’s another race, so I try not to get too carried away. away with everything.
Luckily for Brennan, she’ll only have one more World Cup chance after this weekend, in Trondheim, Norway, before she can get up a bit and a brief moment away from competition. While he said he’ll continue skiing through the Christmas weekend, he hopes the break will give him some time to go sledding and locate markets in Italy, where he’ll spend the holidays.
