The Pandemic Project was a collaborative mapping effort involving sleuths from across the country. It was run through the Institute for Investigative Journalism at Concordia University in Montreal and hired sleuths from journalism schools across Canada, as well as classic news media organizations such as CTV News. The goal was to collect data on the coronavirus pandemic and use maps and other analytical equipment to provide a clearer picture of where COVID-19 has spread and analyze the effect on Canadians.
The maps below each health care region’s instances in each province, as well as hospitalization counts and reports on indigenous lands, were drawn from public information and uploaded through journalists and trusted community members. public.

The consortium drew on knowledge gathered through government fitness authorities, journalists, and the non-profit platform Flatten. ca.
