(RTTNews) – Pan American Silver Corp. (PAAS, PAAS. TO) stated that it moved its Huarón and Morococha operations to Peru in response care and maintenance to several mine staff members who recently tested positive for COVID-19.
Testing and tracking the COVID-19 virus is one of the comprehensive protocols that Pan American has implemented in all its operations in reaction to COVID-19, the company said.
In addition, the company noted that the reduction of staffing would allow care and maintenance activities to be carried out in Huarón and Morococha until the decision has been made that general operations can be resumed safely.
