The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar-Faruk, says she has forgiven those who accused her of hiding COVID-19 palliatives for the poor.
She said this when she answered the hounds’ questions in Gusau on Monday in Gusau.
“I am aware that many other people have made false accusations and accusations against me and my branch about how we distribute the federal government’s palliatives to cushion the effect of COVID-19.
“I have said that I carry out my daily tasks and work in the most productive way of my skill and with equity to all regions of the country.
“Now that you have learned your mistakes, I will pray to God to forgive us all,” he said.
The Nigerian News Agency (NAN) reports that the minister had previously paid tribute to Gusau’s emir, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello, where the monarch asked the federal government to review security in the state.
“The federal government helps the state open more access roads to spread the hideouts of criminal elements and give security guards less difficult access to counter all terrorists.
“We are also looking for more federal appointments, because right now we only have one permanent federal secretary.
“I need to assure you that we will continue to help all federal government systems to the well-being of the population,” Emir said.
