MANILA, Philippines – Malacaang on Sunday lamented how some seem to “unawarely ignore” the rest of the country’s knowledge of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), showing the total number of cases shown of the disease.
Roque said the number of COVID-19 instances in the country continues to increase, the increase in numbers is “mainly attributed to the competitive tests we have now.”
“However, we sympathize with the families who lost their limbs and enjoyed COVID-19. We believe that a lost life is too much and that those numbers will not make us sleep in a false sense of security and will make us paintings. twice as difficult to improve our reaction to COVID-19,” the Palace official said.
He added that “the sad truth is that the virus disappears smoothly until we develop a vaccine or discover a cure.”

The Department of Health reported an additional 2,241 COVID-19 fresh and late cases on Sunday, bringing the nationwide count to 67,456.
Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries is now at 22,465, while the death toll is at 1,831.
“As I said in my previous reports, the University of the Philippines had predicted in the past that we would have more than THREE MILLION coVID-19 instances if the existing government acted decisively,” Roque added.
