Pakistan: three other young men drown in TikTok video shoot in Karachi

In another fatal incident of fate, TikTok’s video footage on September 20, 3 young men drowned in a pond while filming for the popular online platform in Karachi City, Pakistan.

According to local media, the deceased resided in the town of Kemari, the incident occurred while they were picnicking in the Raees Goth area.

The three friends were filming videos on TikTok on the edge of a deep pond when one of them slipped and fell into the water, the other two jumped into the pond to save him, but the three drowned.

According to Pakistani media, a rescue team arrived at the site quickly, the three men had already drowned and their bodies were transferred to a hospital.

The deceased known as Shahzad, 23, Sajjad, 25 and Zabeer, 18.

This is the first time that filming for social media platforms has caused tragedy in the country.

On 17 September, a young man who held an exercise while filming a video of TikTok in the Pakistani city of Abbottabad was arrested.

On July 30, a 20-year-old boy fell off the fourth floor of a construction site while filming TikTok videos with his friends in the city of Lahore.
