A serial killer who killed six other people and attacked several others in Gujranwala city, Punjab province in Pakistan, arrested on 7 August.
According to local media, the serial killer, known as Arsalan, had “a symbol of fear” in the city. Within weeks, the defendant killed six other people with bricks and iron bars, adding two women and seriously injuring five others.
Arsalan reportedly entered the homes of local citizens behind in the night and attacked them by hitting them on the head with bricks and iron bars.
Local media cited police officers as saying That Arsalan also had a history of criminals.
The Chief Police Superintendent (SSP) of the Gujranwala Police Investigation Department said he also killed a man and a man in 2007 and 2017.
In his most recent attacks, the killer murdered six other people sleeping on their roofs in the area for a month.
During police interrogation, the killer confessed that he used to kill women because he simply got married and that he had also particularly attacked the elderly.
Pakistani media reported that Arsalan had been on a police line to identify himself.
