Pakistan exceeds mango export target with 45,000 tonnes

Despite all the demanding situations with the COVID-19 pandemic, Pakistan exceeded its mango export target of 45,000 tonnes.

“The purpose achieved after PFVA pursued a competitive strategy along with timely decisions made through the federal government,” pfVA chief Waheed Ahmed said.”Over the next forty-five days, an additional 25,000-tonne mango export is planned.”

Afghanistan has Pakistan’s main mango export destination for the current season, while the United Arab Emirates, Iran and Oman have also rejoined among the major foreign markets for Pakistani mangoes. Exports to Afghanistan were recorded at 46,276 tonnes, while exports to the United Arab Emirates, Iran and Oman reached 33,000 tonnes, 17,956 tonnes and 11,459 tonnes, respectively.
