ANKARA
Turkey has administered more than 119. 6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines since the launch of its vaccination crusade in January, according to official figures released Tuesday.
More than 56. 09 million people have received a first dose of vaccine and more than 50. 14 million have been fully vaccinated, the Health Ministry said.
Turkey has administered a third booster shot to more than 11. 97 million people.
The ministry recorded 28,170 new coronavirus cases, 208 deaths, and 29,353 recoveries over the past day.
According to the data, up to 365,412 tests for the virus were carried out in the last 24 hours.
Since December 2019, the pandemic has claimed over 5.16 million lives in at least 192 countries and regions, with more than 258.4 million cases reported worldwide, according to the US’ Johns Hopkins University.
