Outdoor notes: Hunters may start buying spring turkey permits Jan. 8

Hunters can begin purchasing their rentals for the 2024 spring turkey season at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission beginning at 1 p. m. m. , Central Time, on January 8. They are also expected to get used to primary adjustments from 2023 onwards.

These spring season adjustments that in 2023:

New for 2024, the price of a nonresident turkey permit, including issuing fee, has increased from $128 to $143. The nonresident landowner permit cost rose from $65.50 to $73. All youth turkey permits remain $8.

The spring archery season begins on March 25, the youth rifle shooting season on April 6, and the regular rifle shooting season on April 13. All spring turkey seasons end on May 31.
