A loose coronavirus control site opened Monday at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, one of 3 regional COVID-19 saliva control sites in North Texas, and is available to all North Texas.

The tests will be administered by appointment from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Saturday until the end of August.

Although the pattern collection is self-administered, it has been approved by the Federal Drug Administration and has an accuracy rate of 89%, according to a city statement. It differs from the nasal smear test, which is used at COVID-19 verification sites.

Participants will receive fabric checks and commands upon arrival at the site. Results must be earned within 48 to 96 hours and positive checks will be reported to county fitness services.

Frisco Fire’s EMA battalion chief Jake Owen said participants can simply eat, drink or rinse their mouths 20 minutes before taking a swab.

Dr Pepper Ballpark is at 7300 Roughriders Trail.
