Contra Costa County is opening COVID-19 clinics to distribute the latest omicron recalls.
CONCORD, Calif. (KGO) – Contra Costa County will open COVID-19 clinics on Friday to distribute the latest omicron recalls.
The recalls are designed to target hyperinfectious strains of the omicron variant that caused an accumulation in cases during the summer.
Pfizer’s withdrawal is legal for those over 12, and Moderna’s recall is for those 18 and older and two months before their last injection.
The boosters will be aimed at the highly contagious omicron subvariants BA. 4 and BA. 5 that recently won the latest ecological distinction from the Centers for Disease Control and the Food and Drug Administration.
