When an actor tells a casting director that he “fights jaari hain,” he confirms that giving up is an option, the fight continues.

The bulletin of the Indian Consortium on SARS-CoV-2 Genomics (INSACOG) published on Monday.

According to the bulletin, BA. 2. 75 and BA. 2. 10 were also circulating, to a lesser extent.

“In particular, in northeastern India, BA. 2. 75 is the most widespread sublineage. However, no increase in disease severity or hospitalizations was observed in this period,” he said.

INSACOG said Omicron and its sublineages continue to be the dominant variant in India. XBB is the most widespread sublineage (63. 2%) circulating in India.

In the Cinco de Diciembre bulletin that was also published on Monday, INSACOG said that, overall, the infection rate is less than 500 per day.

“In the northern component of India, XBB was widespread, while in the eastern component, BA. 2. 75 was the main sublineage. The frequency of BA. 2. 10 and other Omicron sublineages decreased last week. However, there was no increased severity of illness or hospitalizations were observed this period,” he said.

In its November 28 bulletin, INSACOG that Omicron and its sublineages remain the dominant variant in India.
