Oman wins four awards for high-quality olive oil

Dubai: Oman has won two gold and two silver medals for its extra virgin olive oil and compliance with foreign specifications and standards, local media reported.

The Royal Gardens and Business Farms of the Royal Court won all 4 awards at the prestigious EVO International Olive Oil Competition, in its 7th edition held in Italy on May 21.

Founded in 2016, the festival was installed through the World Ranking of Extra Virgin Olive Oil among the five most important additional foreign virgin olive oil festivals in the world and the first in Italy in its first edition.

Royal Gardens and Farms won two gold medals in the Coratina and Blend virgin olive oil product categories, and two silver medals in the Koroneiki and Arbequina categories. The olives were produced at the Riad al Jabal estate in Jabal Akhdar.

The EVO International Olive Oil Competition aims to advertise the highest quality of additional virgin olive oil. For this reason, it allows only manufacturers able to ensure the traceability and origin of their products to celebrate the festival. A highly qualified jury tastes the products for 4 days from 16 to 19 May.
