Dubai: Oman’s structures sector hired the largest number of expats at the end of the first quarter of 2022, with a total of 373,184, Array’s local press reported.
According to the National Centre for Statistics and Information, there are five economic activities in the Sultanate representing 74. 3 per cent of the total number of expatriates in the personal sector, or 1,449,358 workers.
The structures sector tops the list, with 25% of expatriate workers.
Monthly statistics showed that until the end of the first quarter of this year, the total number of in construction, wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repair, manufacturing, family activities, accommodation and catering, reached 1,766,426.
Statistics reveal that the number of expatriate employees in the structure sector stands at 373,184, compared to 353,584 employees at the end of last year 2021, a growth of 5. 5%, while the number of employees in the wholesale industry , retail and fixed automobile automobiles and motorcycles reached 216,493, compared to 206,868 employees at the end of last year, with growth of 4. 7%.
