Muscat: It was a transition for an engineering cash accounting manager to turn to the food source industry, but for Yasmeena Al Alawi, it was still her dream.
Alawi has never eaten bad food and loved cooking and liked to create new recipes for his circle of family and friends. His respect for healthy food and cooking began during his MBA in Japan. “I appreciate how the Japanese have a healthy attitude towards food, from the smallest amounts of food to their maximum intake of new fish and vegetables,” says Al Alawi. “Japanese cuisine has been my access to the world of healthy foods. After the birth of my first child, I sought to move this way of life to my small circle of relatives by adopting healthy dining practices. “
His company, Sprout, was born from a concept while operating in an oil facility company in Muscat. Lunchtime hunger and a lack of selection in Oman have led Alawi and his colleagues to turn to fast food. “I sought to create a healthy meal A unique, fresh, healthy lunch choice made from scratch. The COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to an expansion outbreak for Sprout, as healthy food has thrived in this environment. “Because of this pandemic, we’re seeing that other people think more about healthy food than disease and obesity,” she says. Sprout, even the fabrics used are environmentally friendly, adding packaging and cutlery that use biodegradable products that break down smoothly and quickly. “
