Four more to chase a vehicle
An Indian citizen founded in Oman was announced as the new winner of US$1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw that took place today in Concourse D of Dubai International Airport.
Mr. John Varghese, a 62-year-old Indian citizen founded in Muscat, Oman, the most recent winner of US$1 million in Millennium Millionaire Series n. °392 with price ticket number 0982, which you purchased online on May 29.
A regular player in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for 6 years, Mr. Varghese is a father of two and works as a managing director of an FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) company in Muscat.
A frequent flyer who spent 35 years in the Middle East between Dubai and Muscat, Mr. Varghese used to buy tickets at dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise counters at Dubai Airport before the Covid-19 pandemic.
When asked about his initial plan with his victory, Varghese said: “A large part will be saved for my retirement, while a part will go to some charities, especially those aimed at women and children. “
“This is my first time winning in a draw, so I’m grateful for this wonderful opportunity. Dubai Duty Free will now be a component of my life,” he added.
Varghese, from Kerala, India, is the 192nd Indian citizen to have earned $1 million since the Millennium Millionaire promotion began in 1999. Indian citizens make up the largest number of ticket buyers priced Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire.
Today’s Millennium Millionaire draw was conducted through Dubai Duty Free COO Ramesh Cidambi, Salah Tahlak, Co-Chief Operating Officer, Mona Al Ali, SVP – HR, Michael Schmidt, SVP – Retail and Zayed Al Shebli, SVP – Loss Prevention and Enterprise Security.
After the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw was held for 4 luxury vehicles.
Mr. Nawaf Saad, a 62-year-old Saudi citizen in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, won a BMW X6 M50i (metallic mineral white) car, with price ticket number 0644 on Finest Surprise Series 1807, which he purchased online on May 26.
Born and raised in Jeddah, Mr. Saad has been a normal player in the Dubai Duty Free promotion since 2020 and purchased tickets for the 1807 series.
The father of two was extremely happy to be informed of his victory and commented: “Thank you very much Dubai Duty Free. They made my day!
Mr. Thimmaiah Nanjappa, a 40-year-old Indian citizen in Dubai, won a Mercedes Benz CLS 53 4M AMG (Obsidian Black Metallic) car, with ticket number price 0108 in Finest Surprise Series 1808, which he bought on June 3 on his way to Bangalore for a vacation.
A regular player in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for five years, Mr. Nanjappa has been a Dubai resident for five years and works as an account manager for an animal relocation company in Dubai.
“I am very grateful to Dubai Duty Free and will continue to participate. I will inspire my colleague to do so,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Shaik Abid Hussain Ansari, a 36-year-old Indian citizen in Sharjah, won a BMW R 1250 R (HP Edition White/Blue/Red) motorcycle, with ticket number 0091 in Finest Surprise Series 501, which he purchased online on May 30.
A resident of Sharjah since 2013, Mr. Ansari is a father of 4 children and works as an accountant for a production company in Sharjah.
Mr. Ansari, who was buying price tickets for the first time, was understandably surprised to learn that he had won so early with his first price ticket for the Dubai Duty Free promotion.
“Thank you Dubai Duty Free! I couldn’t win with my first price ticket for their promotion,” he said.
Finally, Mr. Jameil Fonseca, a 40-year-old Indian citizen in Dubai, won a BMW R nineT (Night Black Matt/Aluminium) motorcycle, with ticket number 0238 on Finest Surprise Series 502, which he purchased online on June 2. .
A regular player in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for 10 years, Mr. Fonseca had purchased two tickets to the 502 series and was excited to hear his victory.
A resident of Dubai for 14 years, Mr. Fonseca is the father of two and works as a distribution manager for a pharmaceutical company in Dubai.
“Thank you Dubai Duty Free for this victory and I inspire everyone to participate. Now I can sell my old motorcycle and I can’t wait to see this new one,” he said.
