Oman denies rumours about the start of the new educational year

Dubai: Oman government has denied rumours about the start dates of the new educational year in Oman, local media reported.

“The message about the start of the school year is correct, as it has still been announced. The relevant government will officially announce it in due course.”

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has taken the community’s attitude on imaginable coaching strategies for the new 2020-2021 educational year, adding the feasibility and effectiveness of the new online education.

With less than 3 weeks for the new educational year 2020-2021 amid COVID-19, the ministry called on other segments of society to participate in an electronic survey to place an appropriate option for classroom teaching.

Within 17 hours of the survey being submitted on Thursday, more than 37,000 people took part in the survey, which ends today.

Despite the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ministry demonstrated that it had developed several opportunities to provide education in the next school year after consultation with the directions of schooling of governorates and foreign experiences, i.e. on the built-in schooling that combines e-learning and classroom teaching.
