Cairo: Oman has to move forward with lifting a two-week fitness block between its governorates to start later on Friday instead of Saturday.
An ideal committee on COVID-19 to lift the general blockade at 2 p.m. on Friday to facilitate the movement of others between the governorates of Oman, the Omani news firm ONA reported.
The resolution was taken after the committee reviewed weather reports in the Arabian Sea, as parts of the Sultanate are expected to be affected by a tropical storm.
The lifting of the blockade, which has been in force since 25 July, comes with Dhofar governorate, which is blocked to more ice, the ONA said.
The panel also said that the national night-time curfew would remain in effect at 7 p.m. Friday night until 6 a.m. on Saturday. Its application is adjusted from nine o’clock at night. at five a.m. every day from Saturday night to August 1 at five o’clock, the NAU reported.
On Wednesday, the committee announced the lifting of the blockade between Oman governorates and the relief of the curfew at night for 3 hours from August 8.
The closure included the Eid Al Adha holiday and banned Eid’s meetings to involve the emergence of the virus.
