1915 – Semipalatinsk railway station becomes operational.

1993 – Kazakhstan and Mongolia sign a treaty of friendship and cooperation.

2003 – The National Academy of Sciences is established by presidential decree. Academician Murat Zhurinov is appointed president.

2004 – The eebook Nazir Torekulov – Plenipotentiary Representative of the USSR to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is published in Riyadh. Nazir Torekulov, diplomatic agent and consul general of the USSR in Saudi Arabia from 1928 to 1932. De 1932 to 1936, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to Saudi Arabia. 2019 – The short film Domthroughra directed by Ramazan Khaliolla receives the Best Film Award at the Delhi International Short Film Festival held in New Delhi.
