Observing the tropics: tropical depression 14 on the brink of a tropical storm

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Depression 14 is about to become a tropical typhoon, as a hurricane warning and tropical typhoon warning were issued for parts of the east of the Yucatan Peninsula.

From 11 p. m. on Thursday, in the middle of the typhoon, about 65 miles east of Cabo Gracias a Dios, on the border between Nicaragua and Honduras.

The depression moves from west to northwest to about 14 mph, and this general movement is expected to continue until Friday morning.

A northwestern with a minimum speed is expected until Friday afternoon and will continue at least on Sunday.
