Djokovic, 35, missed the Australian Open and U. S. Open tournaments in 2022 due to his vaccination status.
The Serbian had applied for special permission to play in the United States last month at the BNP Paribas Indian Wells Open and Miami Open, but has been granted an exemption to do so.
With covid-19 vaccination no longer coming to Australia, Djokovic competed at this year’s Australian Open in January and won his last singles title.
Djokovic has won the US Open name 3 times with victories in 2011, 2015 and 2018.
