Northern Kazakhstan reports COVID-19 cases in past two weeks

PETROPAVLOVSK. KAZINFORM – COVID-19 cases are in the northern region of Kazakhstan, reports Kazinform’s correspondent.

According to the Department of Health Epidemiological Control of the Northern Region of Kazakhstan, 4 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the region during the last day. Three of which were registered in the city of Petropavlovsk and one in the Kyzylzhar district of the region.

“In the last two weeks, the region has registered infections, 12 more cases than the past two weeks. The region is in a ‘green’ zone of the coronavirus,” the department says.

Earlier, it reported that up to 20,000 more people sought medical care for SARS and more than 240 for influenza. Both strains of influenza, including swine flu, were detected in the region.
