A Northampton sandwich shop where nearly three hundred employees caught the Covid-19 is still open, despite warnings from a local closure.

Some 292 workers at the Moulton Park Industrial Zone plant in Northampton tested positive for the disease and are isolated by themselves.
But local fitness bosses are concerned that more tests might uncover up to a hundred more cases, with the effects of about 400 that have not yet returned.
Lucy Wightman, director of public fitness at Northamptonshire County Council, said 1,300 of the 2,100 workers had already been cleaned up by the virus.
The company, the world’s largest sandwich manufacturer, has taken the decision to proactively monitor staff due to an increase in the number of cases in the city.
New cases were diagnosed last week, up from 66 in the past week. And Northampton is one of 29 places on the Public Health England watch list.

Northampton is indexed as a “concern” through PHE, which published a list of 29 spaces with worrying degrees of coronavirus.
Due to the state of Northampton, Greencore said it was testing the staff itself instead of waiting for NHS tests to pass.
The first 4 cases met on 28 July, and nine more on 3 August led Northamptonshire Public Health to apply for examination.
