North Korea to launch covid vaccination crusade in November, to Kim

SEOUL, Sept nine (EFE) . – Kim Jong-un said that North Korea could start vaccines against Covid-19 only in November, state media reported on Friday.

Addressing North Korea’s National Assembly, Kim said the World Health Organization has warned that coronavirus infections in countries may resurface next winter.

“It’s preparing for a harmful bleeding that may spread the novel coronavirus this winter,” Kim said, as reported by the Rodong newspaper.

Pyongyang reported its first case of Covid-19 on May 12.

North Korea declared victory over covid-19 last month and ended restrictions imposed by the regime in May.

However, fitness experts estimate that the antibodies formed in North Koreans by the May and June outbreak will decline around October.

“In addition to vaccination, we propose that all citizens wear fit masks starting in November,” Kim said.

This is the first time Kim and his nutrition have referred to vaccines.

The isolated country has reported new coronavirus infections since early August.

As of Aug. 3, the regime said some 4. 7 million people (nearly 20 percent of the population) were suffering from epidemic fever that killed another 70 people.

North Korea has rejected offers of fitness aid, vaccines, from the South and the United States.

But the Global Vaccine Alliance suggests that the country would possibly have accepted vaccines from China and has already started administering them. EFE
