North Korea has resumed advertising air routes after years of COVID-19 restrictions.
Pyongyang has made several publicity flights to China and Russia in recent weeks, marking the country’s first return to civil aviation since January 2020.

Air Koryo, North Korea’s national airline, operates three weekly flights between Pyongyang airport and Beijing.
The first flight arrived with few passengers but returned to the hermit kingdom with about 400 North Korean citizens who remained in China during pandemic lockdowns, according to Yonhap news agency.
A second flight arrived on Saturday, returning with a limited number of travelers to China, and returned with more than a hundred North Koreans who previously stayed in China.

The passengers arrived in buses with diplomatic plates, indicating that some of the Chinese citizens founded in China probably enjoy maximum prestige and possibly would be related to the regime of Kim Jong Un.
Another North Korean flight arrived Friday morning in Vladivostok, Russia.
The plane returned to North Korea in the afternoon with passengers on board.

For Air Koryo’s routes to Russian airports, no official flights have been announced.
North Korea’s airlift infrastructure is largely reserved for the country’s elites and offers no flights outside the gates of its few allies.
