North Dakota set a bleak record Thursday when fitness officials reported 29 more COVID-19 deaths, as well as new highs in cases and hospitalizations. The report showed that another 231 people were being treated in medical services across the state, 11 more than last peak on Wednesday.
Health officials had not updated the number of extensive care and hospital beds served on Thursday, nor had it decreased: there were only 14 beds of extensive care and 188 hospital beds available on Wednesdays

The number of deaths in North Dakota from the virus has increased to 568, adding 325 since October 1. The number of deaths is number 15 consistent with the capita in the country with about 75 deaths consisting of 100,000 people, according to the COVID Monitoring Project.
CBS associate KXMA reports that the maximum of 29 reported deaths on Thursday referred to others over the age of 60, however, two of the victims included a woman in about 30 years of age in Ward County and a woman in her 40s in Cass County. Three of the deaths were other people in their 50s.
Health officials reported 1,540 new cases of COVID-19 across the state, for a total of approximately 50,000 since the start of the pandemic. Health officials reported that the positivity rate had exceeded 17% on Thursday.
There have been 1,859 new cases of another 100,000 people in North Dakota in the past two weeks, taking first place in the country in new capital-consistent cases, Johns Hopkins University researchers said.
