Dubai: Non-citizens and non-residents can now enter Bahrain, however, passengers must go through a PCR check at their expense upon arrival, Bahrain International Airport announced on Friday.
In a series of tweets, the airport said: “In the courtesy of the national team to combat the COVID-19 virus, the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain announces the following revised measures as of September 4, 2020.
1- Entry is reserved for Bahraini citizens, residents, GCC citizens who wish a visa, passengers eligible to download a visa on arrival, passengers with a valid electronic visa, diplomats, army personnel, airline equipment or UN passports.
2- Visas on arrival are reintroduced for citizens of nationalities who are eligible. For eligibility, stop by http://evisa. gov. bh. To get an eVisa before you leave, scale http://evisa. gov. Bh.
3- All passengers must go through a PCR check (at their expense) upon arrival. Arrivals must remain remote until the result of the PCR verification is determined.
In the past, Bahrain limited the number of other people who can enter the country after the previous pandemic coronavirus outbreak earlier this year.
On Friday, new measures were announced. ” Entry is reserved for Bahraini citizens, residents, GCC citizens who do not require a visa, passengers eligible to download a visa upon arrival, passengers on a valid electronic visa, diplomats, army personnel, airline team members or official service holders or UN passports,” an airport said.
Last week, Bahrain reopened all mosques on the island for Fajr prayers after months of closures due to the pandemic.
