Nissan raises forecast for yen weakness despite lower unit sales

M/CLOUDY

Nissan on Wednesday updated its full-year profit forecast as the depreciation of the yen is helping boost its profits, despite ongoing challenges, adding to COVID-19 shutdowns and global chip shortages.

The company now expects an annual net revenue source of 1. 55 billion yen ($1. 06 billion), five billion yen higher than the previous target for the year to March 2023.
