Arsenal have Thomas Partey, Nicolas Pepe and goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo on their pre-season squad in the United States of America.

A roster of 33 players announced Wednesday night with the addition of other African stars, namely Folarin Balogun, Mohamed Elneny, Eddie Nketiah and Nuno Tavares.

This is the Gunners’ first extended summer excursion since 2019 after their last two submitted visits to the United States were cancelled due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Arsenal’s first game will face Alex Iwobi’s Everton on Saturday. Four days later, they headed to Florida, where they would see Orlando City before signing to Chelsea on July 23.

The return to Emirates Stadium will take place at the end of July, with the annual Emirates Cup event seeing Arteta’s men take on the heavyweights of Seville’s Spanish elite.

“In addition to the 3 matches, the players will continue with their arrangements for the new season on the training ground every day, in sessions that deserve to be rigorous, while taking the opportunity to meet the local fans on various occasions around the world. week – and – a partial trip,” the club’s website reads.

Arteta’s men finished fifth last season after racking up problems in 38 outings, a position that earned them a Europa League spot next season.

The North Londoners will begin their 2022-23 crusade against Crystal Palace on August 5 at Selhurst Park.

The Gunners will face Leicester City a week later, followed by a clash with newly promoted Bournemouth.

In total, Arsenal will compete in 4 competitions in 2022-23: Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup.
