Nigeria’s Disease Control Center has announced 322 new COVID-19s in the country, bringing the total number of infections to 52227.
The NCDC did so on its official Twitter account on Sunday.
The fitness firm said 1,002 more people had lost their lives to COVID-19 in the country.
He said five other people inflamed with the virus have died in the past 24 hours.
The fitness firm said that to date 52,227 have been confirmed, with 38,945 discharges and 1,002 deaths recorded in 36 states and the territory of the federal capital.
The NCDC said the 322 new ones had been reported in 18 states.
He noted that Lagos, the epicenter, recorded cases, followed Bauchi with 36 cases.
Other FCTs (25), Edo (17), Bayelsa (14), Ogun (14), Oyo (14), Anambra (13), Kaduna (12), Ondo (1 1), Abia (10), Osun (6) , Plateau (5), Kwara (5), Kano (4), Ebonyi (3), Sokoto (2) and Borno (1).
The firm said a multisectoral National Emergency Operations Center (NSC), activated at Level 3, continued to coordinate the nationwide national reaction.
Meanwhile, the firm said that the common hand with soap and running water is one of the ultimate effective tactics to prevent the spread of diseases such as COVID-19 that were transmitted through person-to-person contact or by touching infected surfaces.
