The president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired), attended the signing of the memorandum between Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. on Thursday. in Seoul, South Korea, and the South Korean organization Daewoo for the rehabilitation of the Kaduna refinery.
This is according to a document signed through the President’s Special Advisor on Media and Advertising, Femi Adesina, titled “Rehabilitation of Kaduna Refinery Strengthened as President Buhari Attends Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between NNPC Ltd and Daewoo Group in Seoul. “
“The president was particularly excited because the signing came about following ongoing rehabilitation works at the Warri refinery through the same Daewoo Group that will first source fuel production before the first half of 2023,” he said.
At the signing, Buhari said: “Daewoo Group has large investments in the automotive, maritime and our economy sectors.
“I am also saying that Daewoo has lately engaged in the execution of NLNG’s exercise seven allocation and the structure of ocean navigation LPG vessels for NNPC and its partners. “
He said he “looks forward to the delivery of ongoing projects, especially at the Warri and Kaduna refineries, and the NLNG Train Seven,” stressing that “this will undoubtedly open many more windows of opportunity for Daewoo and other Korean corporations in Nigeria. “
“I thank you for your religion in Nigeria,” Buhari told the Korean conglomerate at the end of the signing rite on the last day of his trip to the Asian country to end the first World Organic Summit.
