New Hartford police arrested a Utica man after they said they discovered him with several stolen credit cards.
Jammaine Cole, 42, has been charged through police with several charges before New Hartford Police Chief Ron Fontaine.
According to police, Cole stole a victim’s purse from a local status quo in the city of New Hartford and then illegally used the victim’s credit cards at 4 smoking lounges in Utica and the city of New Hartford.
Fontaine says Cole was charged with (1) count of fourth-degree larceny, a Class E felony, for stolen credit card ownership, (4) second-degree count of identity theft, a Class E felony, (4) counts of criminal ownership of stolen property in the fourth degree, a Class E felony, and petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor.
Cole was released following a court fine and is scheduled to appear in New Hartford City Criminal Court at a later date.
The investigation was conducted through the New Hartford Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, Fontaine said.
